Ulvhedin is John Lind on guitars, Helge Gårder bass, John Carr vocals.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR HISTORY?
Well the band was formed back in 1994 and, have currently recorded a demo
and one full length album.
WHO DECIDED TO FOUND THE BAND?
John Lind and Helge Gårder formed the band.
THE MAIN FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY...
Band was formed in 1994, but was put on ice for a while. Ulvhedin reformed
in 98 with a new line up, and short while after we recorded our first demo
called Gnipahellir. We signed to Native North Records; a record company
that was put together by members from Einherjer. We recorded our debut album,
but the record company had some economical trouble so they couldn’t afford
to release our album. By then we had lost of some of the inspiration and
took a long break. We later hooked up with a german Pagan/Viking label called
Einheit Production and the album was finally released.
ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECODING PRODUCTION?
We have only made one demo before Pagan Manifest, and that is the Gnipahellir
demo from 1998.
I GUESS YOU MUST REALLY SATISFIED WITH THIS DEAL OF EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN...
Yes we are very happy with Einheit , that have put a lot of effort in our
release, and have done a great job with promoting our album.
A QUICK INTRODUCTION TO 'PAGAN MANIFEST'?
Its an chaotic extreme metal album with roots in ancient norse history.
WHY SUCH TITLE?
The title reflects the pagan theme of the album.
WHAT'S ABOUT ITS MOOD?
I guess the album mixes all kinds of moods, from hopelessness to hope.
MORE INFOS ABOUT YOUR SOUND?
We always put a lot of effort in creating the right sound, and experiment
a lot before settling on something we all happy with. We also spend a long
time coming up with the right riffs to the get a red line trough all the
WHAT'S THE ROLE OF LYRICS?
They are based upon different kinds of norse myth’s and legends.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE TRACKS FEATURED INTERVIEW TO ULVHEDIN?
Well I can mention that Element of Sorrow and Where the Spirits Gather are
probably my favourite tracks from the album, and the songs where the most
INTERESTED IN SPREADING MESSAGES THRU YOUR MUSIC?
We didn’t have particular idea of spreading a message when wrote the music.
We just wanted to make songs that where based our ancient heritage.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FUTURE PLANS?
We want get a stable line up and do some concerts and make some more music.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE?
Most of us have jobs, and try to struggle our way trough life like most
ANY LAST REMARKS?
