WHO ARE SCELERATA AS BAND MEMBERS?
Carl: Scelerata is formed by: Carl Casagrande (vocals), Magnus Wichmann (Guitars), Bruno Sandri (Guitars), Francis Cassol
(drums) and Gustavo Strapazon (Bass)
WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?
Carl: The band started their activities on the first half of 2002! Since that, lots of gigs and hard work by our side!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
Carl: Very nice beginning may is say. In 3 months, we already had recorded one song, which entered at all radio stations
here in South Brasil. After that, with this only one recorded song, the band toured south of Brasil and shared stages
with bands like Masterplan and Gamma Ray! A loyal base of fans started to grown and at "Darkness and Light" album, which
was released all over the world, you may find everything accomplished on it.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
Carl: Nothing really special, cos we hadnt recorded a demo or something like that. Like i've said, only one song was recorded
for promotional purposes.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
Carl: Lots of tours, lots of new ideas for next album, lots of promotional events and a lot of punch from us, to conqueer
new fans all over Europe!
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
Carl: Well, there's a few. Our last tour besides Edguy was a memorable moment! Sharing stages with Deep Purple, in front of 8.000
crazy fans, its something really worth too! By the way, releasing our very first álbum, all over the world, is something that we are
really proud of!
ANY INTRODUCTIVE WORDS TO "DARKNESS AND LIGHT"?
Carl: Melodic, Hard Rock, Speed Metal, Thrash chords with a lot of progressive influences.
THE SOUND IS PURE POWER SPEED METAL...DO YOU AGREE?
Carl: Power Speed Metal?! Uow! Well in fact i'll keep my thoughts on the question above. We are a heavy metal band, with
noticeble influences from Hard Rock, Thrash Metal and Progressive music!
THE MAIN ISSUE OF YOUR SOUND SEEMS TO BE THE HARMONIC IMPACT...
Carl: Yeah, this is something that we really cared of.
WHAT'S YOUR MUSICAL BACKGROUND?
Carl: Old rock bands like Beatles, Queen, Frank Zappa! From the 80's, surely Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, well this kind
of stuff.
ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
Carl: Hope and faith. Happinness and joy! Thats what its all about it! We are leaving in a conflicted world those days and
what we are trying to pass to our fans is that we are totally able to change our own world. Doing this, you'll change everybody
elses world too! Good thoughts, fulled with happinness! Thats what we need!
WHAT'S THE MOOD OF IT?
Carl: Like i've said, happinness all the time :)
THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
Carl: Many musical influences, mixed on the same album. Thrash fans will enjoy, hard rock fans should enjoy too!
This is something really interesting about Scelerata's music at the "Darkness and Light" album.
WHAT'S ABOUT THE FEEDBACK?
Carl: Awesome!! In Japan, we entered the top 50 sales chart and in Brasil we were elected by the most important heavy metal
magazine here, the third best album of 2006, by popular vote! We were behind Sepultura and Angra only, 2 heavy metal dinos! :)
Also, our albums first press in Brasil, sold out with only 2 months of its release!!
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?
Carl: Same thing as the concept of the album.
TOURING PLANS?
Carl: We already had a 2 month tour besides acts like Edguy, Deep Purple and Roy Z! Wonderfull moments!!
Now, we are looking for some slots in Europe!
YOUR LIFE'S PHILOSOPHY?
Carl: Doing good to all the people around and keeping my mind always in a peacefull way!
THE FUTURE OF THE BAND?
Carl: New album recording and an European tour, these are our focus now!
