WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?
"Sacbe: Resuscitator started back in 1991 by a member that only works with the band only in the studio, Summoner. He went thought many lineup changes, too many to even mention them. I joined back in 1999 the time where Resuscitator found the style where it wanted to stay."
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
"The band was more like an experimental with their first release "Initiation" dark, doom, death metal. The release was put out by Wild Rags Records good response came from it but like always problems with lineups put the band on hold. After that it changed through the time to a more of a black/death metal style but still doom."
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
"Cursed Visions from his infernal realm was to me an excellent CD but the studio and engineers didn't give us the sound we wanted. Then it came Warrior's Death, which has better sound but is not what we wanted to do. Before that, Summoner wasn't satisfied with Initiation as well, the band till this date has not found the place to record and be satisfied."
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
"We're a band that is a bit hard to understand true followers of the underground know exactly what Resuscitator is about. We don't follow the trend of Dimmu Borger, Cradle of Filth, etc. I'm not going to say we're 100% original but we are different from what you hear nowadays everywhere. Our following has changed from the beginnings of the band and nowadays, not only age terms but also the old school metal heads are responding great to what the band is doing."
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
"Unfourtunally is a negative one; the fact is that the band has had problems with lineups throughout its existence. Tours were offered, record deals, shows outside the US soil and things like that. The band's biggest and most important fact is that Resuscitator had lapse of 4 years and a half that didn't do anything but 2 shows locally not because of its lack of creation but lack of true dedicated members. The band could be and could had been doing something better by now, but we're working hard to get those years lost back."
WOULD YOU LIKE TO INTRODUCE US "WARRIOR'S DEATH"?
"Warrior's Death is more like a compilation of what the band did id the past, doing present and future. It contains 3 songs from the era of 1991-1993, 1 song from era of 1994-1995, 1 song form the era 1999-2000 and 2 from the 2002-2004 era. Warrior's was something that it was planned back in 2001 along with Summoner but for personal reason he couldn't finish the plan with us. It was a plan to introduce the band's past and show a bit of what the band sounds nowadays."
HOW DID YOU THE DEAL FROM DISPLEASED RECORDS?
"It was during those same plans that we recorded a rehearsal CD to send it out to labels and close followers. Displeased/From Beyond show true interest to the new songs and old material. We talked about the plans and a deal was offered and it was well taken."
WHAT'S ABOUT THE PRODUCTION OF ALBUM?
"Is nothing to what we wanted, once again we got fucked by the studio and engineer. They never listen, we haven't found a studio that we can work with to give us the sound we want. The idea is there but to us is something we can do much better and we will on the next release."
ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
"It should be taken as a sample of what the band can really do."
WHAT'S THE MOOD OF IT?
THE SOUND IS BRUTAL AND OCCULT, RIGHT?
"It is brutal dark and very occult..."
THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
"The album was recorded 3 times with different members but my self and Obscurer (guitarist). It was a hard album to record since it has older songs on it and engineers would keep loosing files, wouldn't do what we wanted... it was a nightmare."
WHAT'S ABOUT THE FEEDBACK?
"Even though is not what we wanted to sound like, we got good response from it. There was only one bad review that I saw but sounded like the guy didn't know much about the style since he didn't even know what Resuscitator meant."
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?
"Like I mention, is not what the band sound like or wants to sound like but our sound communicates the essence of darkness, occult and true feelings to what we're doing."
"We do have tour plans, with Rotting Christ in the US during March 2006 and
During December 2005 we're doing couple of shows with Averse Sefira in the US as well. Hopefully sometime during 2006 we'll get to do couple of shows in Europe."
YOUR LIFE'S PHILOSOPHY?
"Mystery and manifestations arise from the same source... This source is called Darkness. Darkness within Darkness. The gate to all understanding."
THE FUTURE OF THE BAND?
"Tours and our upcoming release "Three Lords...Seven Days" This is exactly what the band is all about and sound we've always wanted."
ANY LAST REMARKS?
"Thanks for the interest and the questions... Keep the black flame burning high!"
