WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
We all came out of different directions. Roger and Remo where already together in a formation
called “Speed Demon” for 15 years and where looking for a new start. They invited our drummer for a session and it worked out. Via Internet Andreas joined the group and a new beginning was set. Checking several names (about 150) the band name “MABON” was born. After 1-2 years
Our vocalist Roger concentrated more and more on the vocals and also via internet Monika joined the band.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
We first started with 2 own produced Demo CD’s, but the quality wasn’t what we expected.
In 2005 we entered the Iguana Studion in Germany and recorded the most expensive 4 Song EP of Switzerland . Our quality expectations increased that much that we spent more money in this EP than other bands spend for a complete album. But we are very proud it came out the way we wanted. The EP opened us many doors. I would say only because of this EP we where able to participate and win several contests in Switzerland, play together with Bands as Ektomorf, Tankard, Drifter, Carnal Forge, Dog eat Dog, etc etc. At this moment we also want to say thanks to our partner Quam Libet Records who has done a lot for the marketing of the EP !
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
The recording session will start end of September 2007 at the New Sound Studios. Producer Tommy Vetterli (ex Coroner / Kreator) will help us to bring out a real great international “Kick Ass” Thrash Metal Album.
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
As mentioned above, winning some awards, playing gigs together with some international well known bands, be openers of big music and metal festivals and every year.
ANY INTRODUCTIVE WORDS TO "EYE FOR AN EYE"?
Just enjoy the EP and bang your heads with us. For those who want to know more about the text read it. We spent a lot of time and work for the booklet, the inlay and cover work.
THE SOUND IS PURE THRASHY SPEED ATTACK...
It represents what is in our blood and veins……
THE SOUND REMINDS SOME EIGHTIES GERMAN SPEED METAL BANDS...
Ha ha….yes…they compare us a lot with bands like Testament, Slayer, Opeth, Metallica, Kreator and sometimes bands where we only look at each other and we have a big questionmark. For us it’s an honour if they compare us with such multi nationals. But most of them will still find that we have our own style of creating music.
THE SOUND IS VERY COMPLEX AND DYNAMIC...
So are we. In our bands we have dynamic and complex members and the music reflects what we are. Wait until you will hear our album.
ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
You don’t wanna spoil the surprise…right ? All I can say is, if you enjoyed the EP “Eye for an eye” you will double enjoy the album. More songs, more Thrash riffs made in Switzerland.
WHAT'S THE MOOD OF IT?
Romantic ballads, hip hop grooves, heartbreaking melodies with the Sydney Opera orchestra and of course nice music for the hit radio…ha ha ha….ok ?
THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
That’s really a matter of taste. Be a little patient, wait until it is produced, listen to it and maybe than we can talk about it again.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?

THE FUTURE OF THE BAND?
The album has priority number one. Number two is finding a great international label supporting us and spreading the name as our music worldwide. We are looking forward playing gigs with some famous bands as mentioned above.
