PRESENT YOURSELVES OUR READERS...
"We are hard-rocking 4-piece from Tallinn, Estonia."
WHO ARE LOOM BAND MEMBERS?
"Margus “Sick” Sikk – Vocals/Bass
Margo “Marx” Rindemaa – Guitar
Erik Seim – Guitar
Raul “Voss” Seemendi – Drums"
WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
"…erm, we were pretty young and “furious”. We had our first rehersals at local high-school’s gym – so we had much space and
we made a lot of noise. Actually “U-Turn” was one of our first songs which we still play at gigs."
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
"We’ve produced all our recordings ourselves and none of them has sucked:D I think it was autumn 2002 when we hit the
studio the very first time and recorded two songs – “Pure Pleasure” (bonus track on “The Sick Experience”) and “U-Turn”.
Plan was to make a video for the second song and we succeeded."
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
"What about it?;)We are writing new material at the moment, but we don’t have any concrete plan when we gonna record it and
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
“We came, we saw, we won”. We won local young artists contest and local music prize. We recorded our first album by
ourselves, which was quite educating."
WOULD YOU LIKE TO INTRODUCE US "THE SICK EXPERIENCE"?
"What’s here to say?! You must listen to it! Rock’n’roll meets madness:)..."
WHY THIS TITLE?
"This band has been a quite “sick” experience for me from time to time, cause most of us who started the band have left and
we have had so many members that it really feels odd."
WHAT'S ABOUT THE PRODUCTION OF ALBUM?
"I think we defintely are more wiser the next time cause we produced this one ourselves. Sometimes I think we should have
asked for some advice when we were recording guitars, but what the hell, at least now whe now how the process works."
ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
"Just everyday’s sickness..."
WHAT'S THE MOOD OF IT?
"We mostly like sort of melanholic and sad melodies, but I think it’s got everything in it – sadness and happiness."
THE SOUND IS HEAVY AND STRANGE, RIGHT?
"I don’t think its strange. Maybe it sounds a bit strange after listening HIM?"
THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
"Definetly our Limited Edition CD – it’s packed into a metal-can and you can only open it with special can-opener."
WHAT'S ABOUT THE FEEDBACK?
"We haven’t got any negative feedback yet so…"
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?
"I’ve pretty much fed up with this “bringing old school back” and some very technical stuff also. So I think we are NOT
trying to be “original” and we just see what’s gonna happen."
"First recording, then touring. We gonna do it properly this time cause in Estonia we have this strange habit that local
bands play all their new songs on gigs even before they can record it. This time we’re going to be mysterious."
YOUR LIFE'S PHILOSOPHY?
"Work hard, play harder!"
THE FUTURE OF THE BAND?
"I think our golden times are coming, cause our new stuff is smashing and we are more alive than ever! We are going to
record our “Greatest Hits” soon!"
ANY LAST REMARKS?
"Drugs are bad mkey?!"
