Thanks a lot for having granted us of such brillant album... THANXS TO ALL THE REAL METALERS WHO HAVE BOUGHT IT ,LIKE IT,HATED IT,WANTED TO KILL SOMETHING OR YOURSELF TO IT, AND JUST HAS SUPPORTED IT ANY WAY.WE DO FEEL THAT THIS IS A VERY DARK DEATH METAL RECORD THAT'S IN THE TRUE INCANTATION STYLE. How do you succeed in being so brillant every album? GIVING UP ON METAL.JUST WRITING AND RECORDING THE METAL FEELING THAT WE GET.NOT GIVING IN OR GIVING UP TO ALL THE STRESS THAT'S ALSO INVOLVED IN THE WHOLE RECORD INDUSTRY.WE JUST LOVE TO CREATE TRUE FUCKEN BARBARIC DEATH METAL. What's your hidden secret? WELL I CAN'T ANSWER THIS ONE,BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA.LIKE I MENTIONED,JUST NOT GIVING UP.WHAT DO YOU THINK JOHN? Many people hail you as a living legend... THAT'S COOL.YES I THINK INCANTATION IS A LEGEND TO TRUE DEATH METAL ,BUT WE'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HANGING IT UP YET.WE'LL BE PUTTING OUT BLASPHEMOUS METAL FOR MANY MANY I BEX MOONS TO COME. Did you feel the fact you're a seminal band? for us it's an honor, we have always done what we wanted and if people use us as a influence that's killer. It's amazing that there are so many people that can relate to our style of death metal all around the world. I'd like to know more about your first beginning... we just started back in 89 after I left my previous band revenant because I wasn't happy with the new direction they wanted to going. So I wanted to start a band that was 100% what I wanted to do with no musical compromise! I'm not sure what else you want to know but the bottom line is we all put a lot of hard work into the band and her we are today! What's about the sound at that time? pretty much the same as now just raw brutal barbaric death fucken metal! No bullshit! Which bands did have mostly influenced your sound at that period? pretty much the same as today bands like Necrovore, Possessed, Candlemass, Autopsy, Sarcofago, Voi Vod, stuff like that. Just the real heavy and aggressive stuff! How do you succeed in becoming so popular? WELL I DON'T REALLY SEE US BEING ALL THAT POPULAR.WE DO HAVE A GOOD SOLID FAN BASE.WE ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BEABLE TO PUT OUT NUMERUS OF GOOD QUALITY METAL RECORDS.WE HAVE FANS THAT HAVE BEEN WITH US FOR MANY YEARS.ALOT OF THE NEW SCHOOL KIDS ARE FINALLY REALIZING WHAT TRUE DEATH METAL IS ALL ABOUT.OF COURSE WITHOUT THE METALERS THAT SUPPORT INCANTATION,WE'D JUST BE A COUPLE OF OLD METAL HEADS JAMMING IN OUR BASEMENTS. Why this ch'ange of label? RELAPSE WAS JUST LIKE THE OLD GIRLFRIEND THAT YOU HAVE HAD FOREVER.THINGS WERE JUST GETTING SOUR,BEING THAT THEY WERE NOT SUPPORTING US AND BLASPHEMOUS DEATH METAL MUCH ANY MORE.WE FELT LIKE WE NEEDED A NEW HOME THAT LIKED DEATH METAL,SO THEY SOLD US TO NECROPOLIS AND THEY LISCENCE US TO CANDLELIGHT. I think you attach great value to this new album... WE REALLY FELT GOOD ABOUT THESE SONGS AND RECORDING.WE PUT ALOT OF BLOOD AND SWEAT INTO WRITING AND RECORDING THIS RECORD. WE CAN'T WAIT TO DO ANOTHER ONE.WE ARE ON A METAL ROLE RIGHT NOW WRITING SONGS. What do you expect from it? WE JUST EXPECT IT TO GET PROPER DISTRUBUTION, SO THAT EVERYBODY CAN HAVE A CHANCE TO HEAR IT. What's about overal response of press and kids? GREAT.KILLER FUCKEN KILLER. It seems that the usual trademarks of Incantation are always here... WELL THAT'S JUST WHAT COMES NATURAL.JOHN HAS ALWAYS HAD THAT SIGNITURE INCANTATION SOUND.I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF THIS STYLE OF METAL,SO THAT'S WHY JOHN AND MYSELF CAN SO EASILY RELATE WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING METAL. How do you define your sound? IT'S A DARK,DEMENTED, TWISTED, SIC,BARBARIC DEATH METAL SOUND. Which the main aspects of it... everything is important it must be heavy brutal barbaric and aggressive. We just write what is true to out essence. Thrash metal is a great part of your sound... WELL YES , THRASH METAL IS ONE OF OUR INFLUENCES,ALONG WITH OLD BLACK AND DEATH AND DOOM METAL. What do you comunicate thru your music? PURE FUCKEN BLASPHEMY! Why are you so angry? LIFE CAN SUCK REALLY BAD.,AND SO DO ALL THE WEAK,BRAINWASHED FUCKEN PEOPLE IN IT. Do you like peace?
