PRESENT YOURSELVES OUR READERS...
We're a project born to express our deepest thoughts and
feelings with music.I think that this is the aim of all musicians.
We hope that people can receive our messsages and that
can enjoy our music.
Ilid is the short version of the word "eyelid".For us it is a
metaphor ,It symbolizes the door we have between our inner soul
and the world outside.Obviously we prefer to explore our inner
part and show it to the world.
WHO ARE ILID AS BAND MEMBERS?
Well I'm Natasha,the singer;ronny is the guitar
player and music composer;Alex Paolucci is the bass player and
composer;and last but not least Giacomo macelloni the drums player.
WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?
The band started in 2005.I first met Ronny in a club while he was performing
a gig with his previous band.I've loved his music at "the first sight"!
I asked him to work together :I needed a person with his talent and
his creativity.After we've meet Paolucci and Giacomo,we were ready
to create our own sound.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
I played in a gothic-rock band.Ronny had a grunge style band.
Paolucci was the bass player of Raw Power,a band known
especially in the U.S.Giacomo has been playing for years in
the famous italian band Prozac+.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
The most importants are those of Raw Power and Prozac+.
WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
We are still working on the songs to complete the album.
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
When we've met Carlo Bellotti from Alkemist-Fanatix Europe!
He did (and he is still doing)a lot for us. He believes
in our work and He's trying to help us in anyway.
ANY INTRODUCTIVE WORDS TO "THE SHADOW OVER ARKHAM"?
T.S.O.A. is just the beginning of a long music path.
The songs were created by all of us,every single note contains
a piece of our souls.
THE SOUND IS VERY GOTHIC...
We are all inside a little bit Gothic...We have this bitter taste for life
that inevitably comes out.
THE STRUCTURE OF SOUND SEEMS TO BE A BALANCE BETWEEN MELODY AND ROUGH PATTERNS...
Maybe It is like the sound of a wave before and after crushing into the cliff.
Or maybe it is the simple expression of opposite feelings.
Anything we do fluctuates between good and evil,black or white,happyness
or sadness.There is no balance in our lives.
THE BEST ISSUES OF YOUR SOUND?
The energy that the songs have.Their sadness, their anger, their power
to be hated or loved.
ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
we would like to make people understand that there is no fear to look
inside their souls. Whatever we hide inside we can be understood.
I'm not afraid of my demons because they ain't real.Besides I can find
a mervellous world hidden into me.
WHAT'S THE MOOD OF IT?
The mood of whom is listening to it.
THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
It is to show our personal perspective of what we have inside of us.
WHAT'S ABOUT THE FEEDBACK?
The feedback is great .. many cool reviews and interviews! Great! We've already sold nearly 1000 copies in pre-order!
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?
We want to express our feelings whatever they are.
