WHO ARE FATAL PORTRAIT BAND MEMBERS?
"The band members are: Oscar(vocals), Fernando and Juan Pablo(guitars), Eduardo(Bass) and Sergio(Drums)."

WHEN DID YOU HAVE FOUNDED THE BAND?
"The band was born in 1998."

WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE VERY FIRST BEGINNING OF BAND...
"The band was formed by ex-members of two local thrash bands, Mordor and Finis Africae, we had known each other for a long time but it wasn't until then that we decided to get together and form this new band with a more agressive sound than our previous bands, we started playing and composing and luckyly it worked."

WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS RECORDING-EFFORTS?
"We have released so far a 7" called "Rapture among the idols" and a full lenght CD called "An elusive instinct...of lascivia" both with independent Swedish labels: Arte de Occulta and Downfall Records respectively and also some compilations in different countries, this new album, Adventum, is our second full lenght CD and the first with our current line-up."

WHAT'S ABOUT YOUR FOLLOWING?
"We have a very good following in our area and we are also known in the underground scene thanks to our previous releases. We hope that with this new album we can reach a lot more people and to keep growing."

THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS IN YOUR HISTORY?
"An elusive..." received good reviews from renowned magazines like METAL HAMMER, HELL AWAITS, KERRANG, ROCK HARD, TERRORIZER among others, we were also interviewed on lots of webzines and received good feedback from fans and critics not only in Europe but from America and Australia as well. We have played many concerts in various Spanish cities and also in the "Steel Warriors Attack" festival in Barroselas, Portugal sharing bill with the most important Spanish bands like ASGAROTH, AVULSED and THE HERETIC, as well as internationally known acts such as YATTERING, KHRABATOR, EXMORTEM, NECROPHAGIA."

WOULD YOU LIKE TO INTRODUCE US "ADVENTUM"?
"We had a couple of line-up changes, when we were complete we started to compose and after recording some demos we decided to produce our new album. There has been a natural evolution in the sound of the band thanks in part by the wide influences brought in by the two new members but also because we wanted to achieve a personal sound, mixing agressive and melodic parts and combinig different types of voices and we are very happy with the result."

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO SELF-PRODUCE THE ALBUM?
"We had the idea of how the songs and the album would turn out but you have to show the material to the labels so instead of spending our money to record good sounding demos for the labels we decided to spend it recording the actual album and presenting the final result to the labels, we talked to many and we finally decided to work with More Hate Productions, a small but hard working Russian label."

WHAT'S ABOUT THE PRODUCTION OF ALBUM?
"We recorded the album in a studio located in a small town in our area and then it was mixed and mastered by a renowned Spanish producer called Carlos Creator."

ANY PARTICULAR CONCEPT CONCERNING THE ALBUM?
"There is not a concept which connects the songs lirically, but even if they don't touch the same subjects they are indeed positioned so that it's like a journey, musically speaking, from the beggining to the end of the album."

THE SOUND IS VERY THRASHY AND EXTREME, RIGHT?
"The sound is powerful and intense but it's also ,in our opinion, very melodic and atmospheric so that it's easy to listen to."

THE MOST SALIENT ASPECTS OF YOUR NEW ALBUM?
"We think the songs are the stars of the album, it should always be that way. A good song, not caring about anything else, can be the difference between a good, regular or excellent album, band, etc. so our main focus is to write good and strong songs, one at a time."

WHAT'S ABOUT THE FEEDBACK?
"The reactions have been very good so far. We hope that when the CD is out the people like it so we can spread the word and continue doing what we love."

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SOUND?
"We just express our feelings and thoughts and turn them into music so every riff, every song is a feeling, a state of mind, our own innerselves."

TOURING PLANS?
"We will have the release party for the album soon and after that we will start doing concerts wherever we can and hopefully we can open for some bigger bands so we can expose our music to the most possible people."

YOUR LIFE'S PHILOSOPHY?
"Each one of us is a different world so it would be immpossible to create an overall band philosphy, our thoughts and feelings are expressed in our songs so litening to them would be the best way to discover our inside."

THE FUTURE OF THE BAND?
"Hopefully we can reach a good number of people with this album so we can make a name and continue growing and making more and better albums for a long time but we go step by step so what we have to do now is to release this album and to promote it as much as we can."
