Q:
In spite of more than fifteen years passed since the debut, you
see enjoying yourself still so much, young kids..., isn't true?
A:
Of course we are still young kids, but the hair got a little bit
gray and the bellys grown a bit hard!!! We feel it on
stage when we play live that we are not the youngest anymore, but
the spirit is still the same... for sure!!! If the metal fans still
like us, we gonna thrash until we drop!!! I promise you that!!!
Q: How important is for you to keep this coerence (under
all the aspects...), for so many years?
A:
It's very important to keep the faith, we are all metalheads and
I can't see the day we stop to be it.
Q: You' ve always based your lyrics on irony. Have you
ever thought to make a "serious album"?

A: I think Tankard is first of all really a fun band, but we
also wrote a lot of serious lyrics about social problems, nuclear warfare
and all the stuff, but nobody is really interested in it, we are always
the beerdrinking maniacs... we can live with that attitude... no problem...

Q: While you' re enjoying yourself, playing your genre
at its best, there are some bands that change their sound and attitude
for fucking money. What do you think about them?

A: We don't want to talk about other bands, everybody has to
do what they like to do... I can only talk about us: Tankard keeps the
thrash metal spirit since nearly 20 years, we always have been here and
we always be there. No fucking reunion is needed... drink with class!!!!!!!!!!!
Q:
Have you ever heard Tom Angelripper's albums? Do you like them?

A:
Yes of course, he is a funny guy. We toured together with Sodom in
the end of '99 and we
had a lot of fun. I think he is also a very good beerdrinker... SALUTE!!!!!!!!

Q:
What are your plans for the future?
A:
We just signed a new record contract with AFM Rec. (Edguy, Squaler, Paradox,
etc) and we gonna bring out our 20th birthday album in June2002, I think
it will be a really good old school thrash metal album... of course with
serious lyrics!!! The
cover artwork will be done again by Sebastian Kruegen (Chemical Invasion,
Hair Of The Dog, The Meaning Of Life,etc) so the alien will reborn again!!!

Q:
Finally: what's your alternative to the beer?
A:
It's a drink of our home town called "appelwoi", it is
apple wine and more heavy than fucking beer!!!

We gonna play on fourth of november at the Indian's Saloon in Bresso
(Milan)... the first italian gig in Tankard history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
