Which
are the main differences between this album and your previous one?
The new album "order of the illuminati" was more of a group effort and it
was our second studio recording with new vocalist Bruce Hall, so in my opinion
it is a much better record as far as songwriting and song structures with
better performances from all of us. Also half the album (tracks 1-6) are
all in a running theme of the concept of Order of the illuminati.
In some songs of this album i've found the sound of your first ones;
do you agree?
Could you tell us something about your sound evolution? Yes, on this new
record we returned more to our original roots and all the songs are in standard
tuning like in the old days, so this more of a true metal sound. When we
first started we were heavily influenced by bands like IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS
PRIEST; on this new record our sound is more structured around the NWOBHM
sound; we did not do this on purpose it just sort of happened.
What about the lyrics and the title of "Order of the Illuminati"?
All the lyrics were written by Bruce Hall (Vocalist) and it's a theme/concept
of about an elite group of very secretive people that some say exist today
and have always existed and their efforts to control and manipulate everything
on this Planet on a grand scale.
How was the press reaction to your previous album, and what do you expect
for this one?How was the fans reaction?
Actually the press reaction was very positive to "Omega Conspiracy" (it
was labeled our comeback album) and a lot of journalist gave it positive
reviews, but our new record "order of the illuminati" is recieving higher
marks and better reviews than our previous release.
In 2000 you came in tour in Europe and Italy with domine, Riot and Anvil,
I was there and that is in my mind the best concert I ever see.On the 22
of october you are here again with Exodus, Nuclear Assault and more... what
will the italian fans expect from this concert?
Any advances?
AGENT STEEL will totally kick serious ass! we will compile a good set list
of old and new songs. I am really looking forward to the "Bonded by Metal
over Europe tour" we hope to see our fans there and we look forward to drinking
some beer and celebrating in the name of Metal!!!
